LOOKING FOR A CHURCH IN WEYMOUTH?

Here are some highlights of a family service, which is held once a month.  On other Sundays, children and youth have a programme of their own for the main part of the Service, or they are welcome to stay in the main part of the church.

 Welcoming – Worshipping – Loving – Growing

St John’s is a growing Anglican, evangelical church, right on the seafront in Weymouth, the most prominent landmark for miles around.

We are a welcoming, worshipping, loving and rapidly growing church. We meet together in the church, other local venues, each others homes, out and about and online as we worship, pray, learn, laugh and share life together.

We are here for you.

On Sundays we have a traditional service at 9am and then a much more informal and contemporary service, with groups for children and young people, at 10.30am.

The 10.30am service is being streamed on YouTube each week, and we now have a large online congregation in addition to those meeting physically in the church. You can find St John’s Church YouTube channel here

If you want to come and join us one Sunday, then head for the prominent spire on the Weymouth Esplanade – and yes, we have a car park you can use on Sunday mornings (but it can be very busy so try to arrive in good time!).

Small groups and other midweek activities

Many small groups and other services and meetings take place midweek in the evenings or during the day.

We run a range of midweek groups and activities as we seek to share God’s love generously in our community.

Monday mornings: around 40 parents with toddlers are part of Little Fishes on Monday mornings in the church.

Tuesday afternoons: there is a youth meeting.

Wednesdays from 9am until 2pm: Join us to pray at 9am, or for coffee and a chat from 10 to 12, or come for lunch.

Thursday afternoons we run after school clubs for various ages.

We work closely with local churches and together are involved in, and support, a wide range of local outreach projects.

Enjoy looking around the website and finding out more – and please feel free to get in touch using the Contact form or the Chat button.

You are so welcome to join in with what we’re doing whether it’s online or in person.

How to keep in touch with what’s happening at St Johns

We keep in touch with what’s going on, news, prayer requests etc through a community WhatsApp group and by email. If you want to join these, just contact one of the Welcome Team on Sunday mornings and they will be delighted to help.

We regularly baptise people in the sea on Weymouth Beach
